First ride on a rocket what were your impressions

Mine was not the same as others. After reading about how it would wheelie at the tiniest twist of the throttle, try to rip your arms out of your sockets, burn through a tire a week and tons of other things you normally hear about the most beastly bike on the road. I straddled it, twisted the throttle and said....meh, what is the big deal about?

Then I dropped in Wayne's tune and woke up another 30 ponies, that made it much more of a grin inducer. As we journey down the road together I am sure there are a few more ponies lurking in that engine just waiting to be released, all I need is the dollars to feed the beast to let them out.

Hi all,

My wife and I rode a demo the first year the Rocket was out. I was impressed with the low speed handling along with the fun factor when I twisted my right wrist. After we returned the bike my wife said, "That is going to be our next bike!"

Fast forward a couple years, on her way home from work she saw a Rocket parked by the stree that was 'for sale by owner'.

We got to test ride the bike and it came home with us.

I may have to keep her, the bike as well.

Later,
Jerry

"Holy ****! Been away from riding too long, shoulda tried the T-bird first!"

I tried the T-bird next...and after the Rocket it just wasn't terribly interesting.
