Final drve drain bolt

Those magnets are just compressed powdered metals. The gears should just grind it up without issue. Take a hammer to one and see what it does.

You cannot take the final drive apart. As far as getting into where the magnet fell, it is a sealed unit.

I think you are wrong about that

You are right Turbo, but it's doubtful that the normal rider has the special tools, knowledge or parts necessary to make repairs. Even the dealers have to send the unit back to factory for replacement. I remember you repairing one, but doubt you would want to do that again, and then the liabilities.

That is so
I have a bad final drive at the shop so I will take a look at it Monday and give maybe post a few pics.

I am working with a new phone and my old phone is some where between Tomestone and Ticson
Probably easier to take apart that section of final drive than learn this phone. lol

This is apart as much as I can get it. The case itself does not look at all like you can split it any more, if you know the secret please let me know

I've never worked on one but I've taken plenty of things apart you are not suposed to take apart or that were designed to take apart and gotten them fixed and back into service. My guess is those 8 bolts? Probably a circlip .. idk but somone put it togeather with bearings and what not so I'm sure it comes apart. As others have said it's possible.
Probably a custom tool to pull the halves apart, there probably pressed togeather? Idk. But I do know it was assembled and that means it can be disassembled.

I remember someone took one apart and made up a bearing and seal replacement list. Used a hydraulic press, pullers and bearing separators. Still difficult to remove the coupling so pinion can come out the back/side. I thought it was Herman, but I remember the series of posts.

Yes i have changed the pinion assy on two of them and the last one in a 30 ton press trying to get the sleve off and with a torch when it came loose broke my bearing puller and the press came off the floor about 3 or 4 inches. What a pucker moment.
I have not work with the other section that i can remember

So i agree remove the 8 bolts an then put a couple back very losei then tap on a table and see if it will come loose
You may or may not have to remove the smaller bolts.
If you can get it apart
Use a small tap from the inside and that should grab ahold of the broken
Bolt piece and turn it out of the housing
