I went to change final drive oil and when I went to unscrew it I wiped it off and it felt only hand tight, so I attempted to unscrew it by hand and the top of the bolt came off and it was broken off and I never even touched it with a wrench (strange Iknow) I attempted to drill it out and while trying to tap with a center punch it pushed the bolt the rest of the way in the unit(I'm screwed aren't I) . Side note I just had the rear tire replaced at the Triumph shop, could they have done anything with this bolt? I will need to have it taken to the shop to have final drive removed.I don't think I should roll the bike at all to keep from any further damage internally Any suggestions to help solve this problem

Are you sure the skin of the bolt is not stuck to case as its hollow and the center is a magnet. If the body of the hollow bolt is actually in case threads of diff as mine was upon further inspection when i first bought my rocket cause i broke it, i do have good news, pushing the body of that bolt in is hard to do because it is threaded into threads on diff, it doesnt slide in and out but that magnet does, from previous experience.

The good news is u can wedge a screwdriver in there and turn out the the broken half of the bolt.
The bad news is that magnet is still in there.
You might be able to rotate the wheel forward a little and get the magnet out through the fill hole.
Good luck.

This is the top or outside of the bolt the rest is inside the final drive not stuck in the hole ....inside the unit

That bolt was drilled out with a round
magnet inserted in the center so you knocked it into the final drive when you tried to center punch it.
So what you have left is a sleve with threads.
I can ship you a bolt if you can remove the other two parts.

That's the problem, how to get in there to get those pieces out.

Stuff like this sucks. I've had to drop oil pans before and what not.

Imo take the final drive apart.
I know it's a bit of work but it's the only way to ensure a pice of whatever is left behind does not damage or destroy the gears.
It's an aluminum houseing. Chances are almost certain that either now or eventually that magnet is going to find it's way into the nono zone where gear teeth meet.

You cannot take the final drive apart. As far as getting into where the magnet fell, it is a sealed unit.
