Final drive question

I just bought a final drive off eat-me-bay. It was listed for a 2008 Rocket 3. It didn't occur to me until later that they started making tourings in 2008, and that final drive has a different part number. Does anybody know what the difference is ?

The difference is that the Touring won't fit the Standard, and vica versa.

The angles are different because of the narrow rim on the R3T.

Fred if I remember right the first one they sent was the wrong one for my r3t and was for the regular and classic which I think the splines was a little bigger

I sent off a question to the seller about what model it came off. I have my fingers crossed.

It's from a cycle salvage. They are under the impression it's from an R3 standard. Guess I'll know when it gets here

I won't know until it gets here. Not sure how to tell unless it has the part # cast/stamped on it somewhere. Not sure how to tell visually.
