Filling my gas tank when...

I noticed this grommet floating at the top of the tank. I don't see it on the schematic of the tank or the pump assembly. Any of you more tech savvy guys recognize it?

If you had one of those covers on the gas pump that supposedly recovers the fumes and does not allow the gasoline to spill, that looks like one of the grommets (sp) that holds that in place. It doesn't look like it fits inside a Rocket tank for any reason, of course, I was wrong once when I married my first wife! :wink:

Filler cap vent seal do-dad....
Open your filler lid and just to the right of the hinge is where it goes.
