Beautiful bike, no question. Mark is singularly the best business person I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. It would fill a small novel to describe all he and his employees has done for me. Can't say enough. Maybe we can meet up at the August bbq?

I got good news today. As all of you said, Triumph is covering everything on warranty. The parts will be here by Saturday and the shop will install them next week. They are closed Sunday and Monday.

Yeah, it's always the 1st Saturday of the month. So, I would assume the 7th? You on Facebook?

I can't figure out why Triumph wouldn't have covered the costs or repair and replacement? If you bought it new in August of 2015 they come with 24 month/2 year full factory warranty. I guess if you shot up the engine one day with a .44 Magnum there might be a problem but otherwise?.

I got concerned as soon as I was told they had to get an "OK" before they could do anything. To me that implies that there could be some sort of reason why it might be denied.

It's always going to be a worry when any part of your expensive machine goes wrong .
You never really know if a dealer or company is gonna honour their warranty , or find a way to weasel out as so often seems to happen these days ! I felt your pain throughout this episode Dave and am feeling your relief also ! Good on ya mate , glad it's being sorted .

Warranty Terms & Conditions | Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia

The warranty does have exclusions and it states that any service that has been done (500 mile svc, ect) has to be performed & documented by Triumph authorized dealer. They probably just had to check to make sure that was all in line ;)

Is it a hard thing to replace the complete throttle body. Will it require retuning the program or anything like that? How many hours should it take? Does it just unbolt from the cylinder head?

i reckon a decent tech who's worked on rockets before could do it in a couple hours. no tuning just balance the throttles, set TPS voltages, adjust/reset ISCV etc is all
