Triumph has responded. They will not credit the cost of a new pipe towards the TOR pipes, but will let me purchase the TOR pipes at their cost. 168 dollars. I'll do it as long as I can keep the OEM system, for later resale of bike if new owner wants them, and that they cover the cost of install and reflash. Waiting on an answer.

Well, the TORS are cheap. So I wouldn't really expect them to be ultra-high quality on the electroplating...

I've been eying the D&D myself, I like how they sound in videos etc, but of course I also dislike overly loud pipes. Since they retail for $800 plus shipping and taxes here (end result, $1100+) I kind of don't want to buy a pig in a poke.

I'm still confused by this video. It seems to indicate the TORS (those slant-cut pipes can only be TORS) go over 100 dba, whereas the D&D (presumably with baffles) are considerably quieter?

I'm probably misunderstanding the whole thing.

You will like the Tors just stick with Triumph doing the install and reflash not that it's hard to do but you have to screw with them.
