Under your picture it says .040 over. I believe he thinks this mean you have bored your cyclnders and didn't realize this may be what the website does. Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Finally have some answers...

The tire was repaired due to a nail I picked up back in February, obviously, the tire shop either never filled the tire correctly, or there was still a small leak from the repair - nothing obvious from handling or braking, but only had 34 lbs in the tire when they removed it to replace with the Bridgestone (thanks for the recommendations on that). That coupled with "road wear" was responsible for the abnormal wear. (So says the new Triumph dealer in Yorktown, VA (Redline Performance Motorsports.) Needless to say, I will be keeping close watch on the wear pattern on the new tire just to be sure)

Most dealerships don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. I don't know what is the source of your uneven wear, but I'd bet the farm that it's not at all related to the BS that dealership is running by you!

+1...had my local dealership service manager tell me today that there were only 4 tunes available for my Roadster :roll::roll::roll: Right after he told me that it should have dyno'd at 150hp with the tune that came from the factory :roll::roll: They definitely drink the Triumph kool aid there. Thank God there are more knowledgeable people on this forum or I might have believed him. Education is the key...

How much psi do have in the tyres. Big heavy bikes with wide tyre wear them out pretty quick with low pressure .When I got my bike ,the owner had been riding around for sometime with under 30 psi in the rear tyre. He told me he was on his 3rd R3 ,if so,he hadnt learnt much.

Im trying to understand how the tyres would get like that if the frame was bent. If both tyres were no long at 90 degrees to the horizontal parts of the frame, wouldnt the bike go down the street on an angle,or at the point halfway between the new angle and 90 degrees?
And if the frame was twisted, the tyres would be wearing on opposite sides.

You might be able to get some indication by removing the seat and laying a spirit level onto the frame and a second spirit level on the vertical face of the tyre. When the horizontal level has the bubble in the middle ,the level across the tyre should be in the middle of perpendicular bubble.

I've spoken to the folks at American Motorcycle Tire, where I buy all my motorcycle tires, and they know their products well. I asked them about the Bridgestone Exedra Max on the rear and they told me this tire is a mid-grade tire and Avon's are a premium tire. told me the bridgestone has softer and possibly fewer rubber compounds in it compared to the Avon's. they might be trying to sell more expensive tires, but thought i'd share my experience with everyone.
!
Ive had 2 Avons and 3-4 Bridgestones, cant say I have noticed much difference in any regard. As to the B/S being softer,I dont believe that to be true as most of my riding is done on very warm roads and this wears soft compounds pretty quick and I get around 16000klms from them(Avons as well)
