Hallo Ygransom...good choice.
Greetings from Germany.
I got the Raask exhaust, and i am quite happy with the noise now.
Its Illegal in Germany ....but how do say in the USA
so what:D

Welcome to the forum!!!!! Im breaking my R3T in as we speak (well not AS we speak),
and love it! The "Blade" is 7 inches taller. The weather out there must be perfect for riding. ENjoy! Lots of tech help on this forum.

Bavarian-How do you like the Raask's? Check this thread out,(http://www.r3owners.net/rocket-iii-touring-forum/5444-raask-cans.html) Im sure some will have questions for you. Thanks

Not yet Daryl. I will have it on order end of the week. I am sure I will like it. Being 6'2" I get alot of buffeting from the OEM sheild. Glad to hear you like it. Makes my decision easier!

Welcome, Ygransom, to the site and congratulations on your new bike.

My 08 is the same color. I am 6'3" and have both Triumph windshields. The tall one is not bad but I am looking at having Gustafsson Plastics, in St. Augustine, build another shield an inch taller and 3-4" wider.

My wife also hated the back seat and it's angle toward the front. I had Sargents in Jacksonville level it off. Much better now.

Several on this site suggested the Stabel compact air horn. I installed one under the left side cover a couple of weeks ago. It's a great safety upgrade.

When I get an extra grand i will upgrade the pipes. My daughter is getting married in January, so I think it will be a while.

Enjoy your bike.

Nate

Natesake - I'm 5'11" so I think the taller Triumph shield should be right for mme, getting a little buffeting on top of helmet with stock shield.

I agree on airhorn, installed one last weekend, even under side cover it is very loud.
