Living Legend
On Saturday, July 2nd, I rode my R3T for the last time to the local Indian/BMW/Moto Guzzi dealership so that it can be sold while I am at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL for evaluation for a liver and/or kidney transplant. The evaluation will be for a two week period, let me make clear that, at this time, I feel pretty good and this procedure is not in the immediate future but it will, if accepted, get me on the list for any liver and/or kidney that comes available should I need a transplant.
Because of my less than normal upper body strength I have had to give up riding motorcycles as I may not be able to "manhandle" the beast when slowing down and coming to a stop and the ensuing possible loss of confidence in my riding skills and abilities. I do not want to be a hazard on the road because of this.
If the bike sells or is eventually traded in I will be able to get the Slingshot ride I have been aiming for since it will give me a more stable ride and will be the next step in my move to this type of adventure riding/driving.
I will continue to monitor this forum as there are so many great guys and gals here that have been an encouragement and have given me lots of advice while I rode the Triumph line of a R3 Classic, Thunderbird and the R3T.
Thanks for the many great memories.
Dennis
