Living Legend
Making gaskets isn't really that hard. With proper gasket material and a very small ball peen hammer I've made a lot of gaskets before silicone was readily available. I once tapped out a gasket for the front cover on an 8V71 Detroit diesel underground in the shop. Wrong gasket came in and rather than wait for another (underground you can't simply push equipment outside the door) tap tap tap and voila... I bet you she taps it out in less than 15 minutes...Bought some gasket material and this week my wife will cut it out for me, she is a scrapbooker so she will definitely do a better job than I would. 4 hour job turning into 30. I should not have a problem if the spring ever breaks again.
What's her hourly rate... lol
