Where exactly is the ECU located on the monsters? I ordered a tuneboy and they need the serial number off of it... I don't want to be digging around anymore that absolutely necessary.

You have to link your computer with the tune boy cable to a plug under your seat next to the fuse box and get the ecu number electronically

I don't have the tuneboy yet, they want the info to get the activation code bofore shipment.

 bit confused , i received tuneboy cable and then used it to find ecu number , then had to email them with the number for activation code

Thought that was the way that we all had to do

Do not know how you will get number otherwise , do not think it is stamped externally anywhere

I'm going ot have them call me on this one then. I found the ECU, but there are about 3 sets of numbers that it could be. How long is the serial number usually?

Who are you ordering from ?
Sounds like they dont know what they are doing. Deal direct with Tuneboy. There have been some group buys recently to lower the price and get free shipping internationaly.
You need the cable and software (software available free on TB site) to read the ECU numbers as said here.

Ordered it through newbonneville (newr3) yesterday. I'm going to emial and call them today to see what the deal is.

The serial number from my 2005 Keihin ECU was a 10 digit number.
