EBC "HH" pads on the rear

I have had one fitted for while now while I have not had a oh **** moment I have tried it out braking heavily with out the front and managed to not lock up while stomping on the fear brake I personally think it is a good investment

How do you suppose that works ? Does it restrict the flow a little in the "going in" direction
to kind of dampen the initial stomp on the pedal ?

It works a bit like a shock absorber it has a diaphragm inside the it balloons to take the initial load or shock if you like and then let it back out gently, you can still lock up but you really have to try and it does not affect normal day to day braking, oh and I am running EBC HH pads which feel much the same as the original Brembo pads that were in it from new

HUmmmm interesting concept but how do you quote "apply the rear brake as hard as you can without lockup " you cannot control the amount of hydraulic pressure required to pinch the rotor up to the point of lockup with only your foot as lever, either it is not enough or you lockup and then release the foot pressure in both case the rear brake is not at peak squeezing . beside look at it this way in order to understand that 80% of the bike weight is on the front wheel when you squeeze the front brakes and 10 to 15% on the rear
Hanso probably has the answer to use the rear at peak efficiency with the device he intalled but for simplicity of demonstration

take a bicycle walk along holding the handlebar squeeze the rear wheel brake hard the wheel will lock up because there is no wheight on it and you can still walk the bike without effort with the wheel locked up try the same with the front brakes and instantly the rear wheel will rise up and the bike will stop and you cannot walk it anymore the fundamentals are the same for motorbike . it has been said and demonstrated side by side that two same bikes braking to stop hard side by side one using both and one using only front brakes where only inches apart and if there was one using the rear only it would still be moving for another 50 yards ..
anyway I only wish you safe riding whatever makes it safe for you. and that is the truth

If I get into a Holy sh!t moment, I give both brakes everything I got (subject to conditions).
I ca not lift the baxk wheel off the ground with ABS therefore the rear tyre has to be helping in the effort to slow down.
