EBC brake rotor

EBC brakes are made exclusively in the UK and USA . I have used EBC rotors for years and found the only thing to affect the finish was using chemical cleaners , these seem to neutralise the protective coat on the rotor and rust is forever more a problem . A fact I have proved to myself with different cleaning regimes . That aside , the manufacturing quality of yours is **** . I'm not pointing any fingers here but was yours of usa or UK manufacture ? As a whole , for the price I don't think you can get a better disc !

Surprising they rusted like that.

More concerning to me, is how close the most outboard hole is to the edge of the disk, it's asking for a crack to form there.

STICK with the OEM discs for a street bike they workout the best and dont have any of these issues

My original front rotors. Rusty when I first got the bike. Replaced because of looseness at the rivets.

Replaced with polished EBC front rotors. I find polishing not only looks good but they don't rust. I ride in rain and have been caught on flooded streets, no polishing or special care, still lookin new.
l know many love EBC Pads the only things they're better at for me is making noise and locking the rear tire. Had to adjust my braking technique and still lock it too often. Wendy baby to OEM now it's quiet and the rear brake is controllable once again. They also wore out really fast.

I installed the EBC Front rotors In January '15. So far they perform as designed. No rust, no noise, no fading. That's with OEM pads. The EBC pads were loud when applying the brake and noisy when not even in use. Not squealing but a LOUD rubbing sound. Couldn't figure it out until I replaced pads on my TBird and had the exact noise only louder. Replaced the R3's with OEM, problem, solved. Replaced TBird's with cheap Bike Master pads, problem solved. I don't know what happened, EBCs have always performed well for me in the past. But that was on Hondas.

EBC says the discs are made of heat treated and tempered STAINLESS STEEL so they should hold up well so maybe the wrong cleaners caused the condition

Chemical cleaners such a muc-off and certain wheel cleaners will turn them overnight ! There is no excuse for the manufacturing faults tho . What did they have to say bout that ?

Using the same car wash concentrate I've used on it since I've owned it. 11 year old stock disc back on there now. No signs of rust on that one or the fronts.
