Unless you have the wrong harness it should be simple. You have two H4 style connectors and 2 relays on one end of the wiring harness and on the other end of the wiring harness you simply have terminals for putting in your battery. No switches to deal with as the relays trigger on the lights for either high or low beam with power coming directly from the battery and no longer through the switch.
Most of my time was spent running the wires through the opening in the shell under the tank and back to the battery. Easy hookup in the shell, but there is a lot inside the shell so you have to kind of tuck things kind of out of the way.
No splicing as I recall. Direct battery to shell and swap connector around.
