Do any of you forget to shift into 5th gear at times on the highway?

Stay in 4th around town .. helps keep me near the speed limit 60kph. Like the others I've tried to find 6th out on the open road .. often actually.

I've caught it happening a couple of times, but never for any extended period.

I look at the tach pretty regularly, so it wouldn't go on for long.

Like a few of the contributors here I often try to get it into 6th. P.S Most of my other bikes have had 6 speed gearboxes so I cut myself a bit of slack!!!

O photo.JPG One of these helps

Here in Spain - like many I'm often looking for 6th (or is that 8th). An overdrive maybe a better idea. Better still Lock-up auto with overdrive please Mr Bloor!

But in the UK on the smaller country roads around my mum's home I often had trouble getting as high as 4th. And BOY! did consumption suffer.

So Diesel too Mr Bloor, whilst we're at it.

Oddly I've just removed my GiPro as frankly all it did was annoy me.

It would annoy me as well , if I only got into 3rd gear most of the time:unsure:

I rode 100 km today, no highway or motorway. Quite a bit of twisty. 3 and 4 mostly but a bit of 5th and a bit of looking for 6th in the straights. Rode mostly off the sound and the tacho.
