I've put 200 miles on today and on the last 5 miles the bike started idling high, 2000-3000 rpm and the check engine light came on so when I got home I did a diagnostic test on it, this is what I got

P0122 Throttle position sensor low input open ground or short circuit

and

P0222 2nd throttle position sensor system low voltage

I reloaded the map I had in it and cleared the codes and id another diagnostic test and nothing showed but the bike is also idling erratically now

anybody help me with this??

The bike has been running great till this

any help would be appreciated

My (educated) guess would be that your primary throttle position sensor is knackered. Usually they don't throw a code. They just $hit their dress, and then make the engine idle weird. Bench testing with an ohm meter will usually always show them being good even though they aren't. If your going to replace it yourself, you will need tuneboy or tuneecu to set up the new one. Make sure the one you buy has the blue internals (the part you can't see when it's mounted). That means it's the new and improved one.

Thanks R S I wonder if I can get that some place other than the local dealer . On tune ecu in the throttle sensors, the top says "reference -sensor position volt, number on left is 15.6 numbers on right say 0.62 v

Bottom numbers. say
Position (2) - sensor position volt (2)

0% 0.62v

Is. position 2 the secondary throttle position? And what does the 0% mean?

Yep I'd vote Primary TPS no doubt.
You can clean your crank angle sensor
to eliminate that, but it's probably your TPS.
if the dealer tests it, he'll say it's fine,
order one anyway, dealers don't have a clue.
Then once it comes in, and is installed,
make sure you do the 12 minute tune
and she'll be fine as frog hair again.

I just got back from a test ride after cleaning the crank sensor. It idle a lot better and runs good but surges at low rpm/low throttle position. Crank sensor was dirty and made a big difference by cleaning it but I do have a surge now. Still think the primary TPS is bad? And where is the best place to pick one up besides local dealer?

Also I don't have o2 sensor on mine, will the 12 minute tune still work?

Thanks

I have never used Tune Ecu. It wasn't out yet when I BOUGHT my tuneboy. Still sounds like primary TPS to me. I tried to find an after market TPS at one time and didn't find anything suitable. Looks like your stuck with the dealer. I'm not sure about Tune Ecu, but in tune boy you can "reset adaptives" which is the same thing the 12 minute tune does.

Gonna order the T1245113 "blue" TPS today either from Baxter or Frederick Yamaha ha ha ha.
