What's stopping us from generating a letter listing our issues and complaints and sending it to Bloore himself ... reckon he'd take notice if it was signed by a few hundred current Triumph owners ... what do you all reckon ?

Of course we'd need someone to oversee the process .. i nominate Richard .. seconded by ...... ;)
I'll Second That.;)........... Richard We have a Job for You:D

Catherine mentioned an E-Petition , i don't even know what that is .. or if it would be the way to go. Been thinking i must know at least 50 blokes that own Bloor built Triumphs that would add their names to support better parts pricing and spares availability. At the end of the day it's not just us Rocket Owners that are paying through the nose and waiting weeks for parts to turn up. If we all listed the Bloor built bikes that we owned it would be something for Triumph to think about you'd reckon. Don't really think it would help if we all went into our personal beefs about individual Dealerships , just identify common problems we've encountered with them. Issues like multipule visits to get a problem rectified , poor technical training and the common faults like ignitions , deten springs etc ... just my thoughts.

I like it TC......count me in......I have no issues with signing a petition for all the reasons you mentioned.........and Richard is such a nice bloke for offering his services.........unless he has skipped town :eek:

When I worked in construction, years ago, I remember working on a dealership owners house. It was a single story 12,000 square foot home. This was an auto dealer who only had one brand. Now most dealerships where I live sell multiple brands.
There are basically two motorcycle dealerships where I live. One Harley dealership. The second sells five brands including Triumph. They have been in business since 1948. Whenever I go there I hold my hands up because I feel like I am getting robbed.
They pissed me off 25 years ago because of the ridiculous prices, I haven't got over it yet. I average one trip there every 5 years. The owners of this dealership are wealthy they own restaurants, bars and other businesses . The seed money for these businesses came from the dealership not the other way around. Don't get me started on the Harley dealership owner.
I would rather support the motorcycle shops. Their main line of business is service work. They are hard working and don't live in a mansion. I work on my own machines but will give my business to these small shops upon occasion.

The dealerships will always have people that aren't inclined to work on their own equipment to give them business. And there are those that age and just don't want to work on their bikes anymore and have the money to spend.

I think the people who work on there own bikes are a minority. I have no pity for the dealerships. I say PISS ON THEM!

Had a small issue with my coolant overflow bottle being empty last week. Rang one Triumph dealer on south side service manager said just top it up with water and no don't remove the radiator cap to check if it is full. Not being happy with that I stopped in at a northside Triumph dealer later that day asked the same questions and was told to top it up with any pre mixed green coolant and remove the radiator cap to check that it is full I went with the second plan. Don't know what happened to cause the bottle to be empty the only thing I found was the little rubber cap was not on I'm thinking mabey with the heat under there it evaporated. The last person to have the bear claw of that could have left the cap of was at southside dealer.
