Dealers Disappearing....

We all complain about the lack of dealers but we are the first to say do everything yourself and only use the dealer when we need some special tools/equipment, how many have seen a t-shirt , jacket.gloves, pants etc that you liked but instead of getting the dealer to order them or even buy directly from the dealer stock you will run home and save a few bucks by going online and ordering the item so when the time comes when you need a dealer and you can not find one please do not piss and moan

If you buy from the Triumph website, you are supporting your local dealer. You must choose your dealer at checkout and the order processes through them.
If you order from a dealer that is not your local brick and mortar because it is cheaper even with the shipping, then shame on the local for not competing with the rest of the dealer network on prices.

Just found out another Triumph dealer near me closed. Now my closest dealer is 21/2 hours away. I am rethinking my love of Triumph bikes. I have Honda, Harley, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Yamaha, Suzuki, BMW, Ducati, and Moto Guzzi within an hour from me. What is going on with Triumph?

Rick it was a sad day when Armands Motorsports of Halifax went out of business,their Triumph mechanics were the best around. I keep asking around for AJ but it seems they all disappeared. I was in limbo for awhile until i found Plimpton Cycles About Us These guys pretty much cover everything on the Rocket except maybe internal engine repair. They might even cover that i never had to use them for that so far. They gave me a great deal on tires and radiator flush etc. Best way to get there Rt 3 North to exit 7 (44) get off at RT.58 exit take a right into Plimpton center go through second set of lights take your first right after the grave yard follow to the end to Rt 106 and it's straight ahead. I dread if anything goes wrong major and have to take it to Swansea Triumph, talk about a grouchy ole bastard when it comes to Rockets...!! Opinions, Triumph of Swansea, MA - Page 2 - Triumph Forum: Triumph Rat Motorcycle Forums My second choice would be Performance Cycles in Westboro called them a few months ago and they too went out of business. The only other one I heard great things about was Riverside Ducati-Triumph in Medford. http://bostonducatitriumph.com/ A good friend of mine bought a Ducati
V4r $35K from them and he raves about the sales and service he gets there.
They gave him top dollar for his old Kawasaki on a trade in. If you find anyone better let me know.

Swansea is no longer a Trumpet dealer and Riverside is Ducati only now. 128 Cycles is the closest, and then there is National Power Sports in Manchester and Pembroke, NH.

Armands was great. I bought all my Polaris & KTM stuff from them. That is where my 2011 R3R originally came from. I knew AJ when we were just wee lads Riding BMX bikes.

I buy as much as possible from my local Kawasaki dealer. Including parts for the Yamahas, Hondas and sometimes even the Triumph. Having a good relationship with my local bike shop is important in my opinion.

The problem i have with the dealers is that when i go with the intention of buying something i get the same story, "we don't have it in stock, will have to order it", hell, in that case i order it myself

If the dealer had the candy in stock, displaying it somewhere for the peons to drool over, I'd pretty well purchase from them every time. But they rarely do...............
