Cruiser Motorcycle Mentality

That new Suzuki is supposed to be putting out more power than the Rocket but what could they do? Everyone was buying a Rocket. I never liked the Boulavards so didn't even consider one. Was thinking about one of the Star's but when I got the deal I got along with knowing I was getting another Triumph that did it for me. Now all I have are the Harleys, the Triumphs, and my little chinese bmw clone.

the Suzuki C109 puts out more than 140 hp? I can't imagine the stock version gets even 100 hp, and pipes and tune isn't going to add 40. But then I could be wrong. If I am then kudos to Suzuki!

I owned a VL1500 also and put 30,000 miles on it. It was a great bike but pales in comparision to the Rocket.

Maybe Im missing something but I cannot find any specs on the 109's.
Probably didnt look hard enough but the suzuki site didnt have any and some of the reviews didnt show horse power or torque ratings either.

mutt

Looks like another V twin just like all the other V twins, Harley wannabees. That's part of the reason I bought the Rocket different . And of coarse there's the power, torque, and it's a Triumph.:D:D:D

Yep, why buy an imitation V-Twin? Hey, I know some have them-my best riding bud has a VTX 1800. But why? The R3 in it's own world and that's the appeal.

NEWSFLASH: I DON'T CARE! Mine is not a Rocket III, for starters. It's a Rocket III Touring. Yeah, it's fast. How fast? I don't know and I don't care. It goes 75 mph just fine and I can pass when I need to by twisting the throttle and I get to wherever I want to go in reasonable comfort. That's all I give a rip about.

I don't get it. If *I* wanted performance, I'd buy a ******rocket.

LOL!! MAN, are you ever in the wrong forum!!! :D

If you have read around here a little you have probably noticed that "more power" is like the new religion.............
