 Hello Anybody out there no of a good cruise control that can be added to my rocket for the long trips that I take?

Throttlemiester...

http://www.throttlemeister.com/tm.html

Very easy to use... looks good.... works well with the Rocket. Since the Rocket is somewhat heavy and is very powerful you don't need to do a whole lot of adjusting as you ride. I have the heavy duty (recommended, especially if you wear gloves alot) and I like it....

i'm not sucking up here, i know that tom has tried many different setup to make long trips easier on the hand. so if he's finally found one that he likes, then i'm sure just about anyone would be happy with it.

I also have the Heavy Duty Throttlemeister as well as a plastic device called a Throttle Rocker. I have the older one that just loops onto the throttle and not the new one with the veclro. Go to http://crampbuster.com/ to get the old version which is far superior.

The Throttlemeister is good for the long flat straight aways while the plasic device is great for letting the wrist relax a bit when needed.

I think that is just what I need. Does the 1 3/8 size fit OK? Is it easy to take on a off?

I honestly don't know. I have two older ones. They are the same and fit both my Thunderbird Sport (7/8" bars) as well as the Rocket (1" bars).

I have a Throttle Rocker that I used to use on my Speed Triple. I put it on the Rocket III and while wearing some gloves I was able to almost rocket the Rocket out from underneath me. I took that baby off and it hangs on my garage wall to this day.

Cruise Controls...

There is ONLY one true cruise control for motorcycles: http://www.mccruise.com/bike_intro.html Unfortunately, they have no plans to make one for the Rocket 3 at this time. Everything else is just a throttle lock. I think that the best of these is the BrakeAway which disengages when you pull the brake lever in: http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?Category_ID=10&manufacturer_ID=296&product_ID=9577&model_ID=102

My second favorite pick is the True Cruz because you still don't have to let go of your grip to disengage the throttle like some others: http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?model_ID=0&Category_ID=10&manufacturer_ID=414&product_ID=19044&related=short

It's all personal taste. I'm ordering the BrakeAway one for myself... :D
