tors

i just got an 08 R3 classic tuesday and was wondering what pipes i had also. the right upper one has a sticker on it and the part number is A9600203, and then it also has the same disclaimer yours has on it. not for use on public roads, using these will be tampering, federal offense. same stuff it has on your pipes but i couldn't remember all of the words properly. seems like i also have tors, man that's great. that'll save me quite a bit of money that they're already on my bike. i also have no catalytic converter, it has the straight through pipe instead of the cat. now i'm wondering what tune is in my ecm. the ecm has the triumph sticker that shows what tune is in it from the factory, but i am guessing it has the tune for the tors. i'm glad you started this thread, now i don't have to ask whether i got tors or not.

The thread is over 3 years old but it seems you are right - you most likely have TORs and no cat. That's good; it's what I have and many others on here. There is a Triumph TORs tune and it's probable that you have that too although it would be worth checking. And if you do any other mods such as filters you need to do something about a/f mix as you'll most likely be too lean (deceleration popping - backfiring - is a good indicator of that). Plenty of info and expertise on here to help you deal with that.

you're right canberra, that is an ancient thread. thank you for your reply though. mine does not have that lean decel pop so i'm guessing i also have the tune that works with the tors and cat delete. man this saves me from having to buy something for the bike right away.

Just right down the road from me and Mexican.
We need to hook up and ride to Maggie Valley say around the 11th if you're up for a ride.
