I concur with CapnC...the name, Chatterbox is a misnomer because most people don't use them that way. I've found it to be a distraction eliminator. Looking in your rear view mirror trying to determine if your riding partner is having trouble or just hanging back is distracting. Yeah, yeah, you'll say ride your own ride, and I do, but I'm also concerned about the well being of my friends. It's just easy to ask, "Hey, everything OK", or trying to figure out what someone is trying to communicate 'cause they don't know the signs..You just ask.
The thing to remember is to get the same system as the majority of those in your riding group, if you ride in a group, because the systems cannot communicate with each other. Figure out what and with whom you need to communicate, whether wired or wireless, and go from there...answering those will guide you in the right direction.
The Chatterbox was right for me 'cause it is popular with my riding friends and is Bluetooth so it's wireless and communicates well with the Garmin Zumo and cell phone, though I'm still trying to work out an issue with the cell phone part.
Price was right, too.
