Original clutch from 2005 have had to adjust cable because top was out of adjustment (when bought) worked out slack at bottom. No slip no slack.

After a few upgrades Paul's three into one and Ramair with a decent tune the clutch started to slip at about 40,000 miles. Took it all apart and pads and metal rings were fine. Springs were shot. Had ordered a complete Barnnet clutch basket and springs along with pads and rings. Works rather well. Got about 10,000 miles on this set up and really you can feel the difference. Stock springs suck after a few mods. Had same problem with a Bonneville a few years back. I do like to gun it once in awhile and that is when i discovered the clutch was slipping. Normal riding i would have never noticed. Overall in the last three years am very happy with the Rocket X. A bit over three years old and 50,000 without any major issues.
