clock and fuel gauge

I got the gauges on ,it took about 90 mins. Both clock and fuel gauge are working as they should.
The only problem is getting the swivel joints tight. I kind of had them where I wanted them,then one little knock with my hand and now the fuel gauge is sagging.

Do you really have to tighten them off the handlebars then manoeuvre them into place so they tighten some more as you get close to where you want them?

Why do so many Brits live in Spain these days if the weather is like old blighty?

My excuse is that my wife is Spanish. True we get the odd UK-type day. But on the whole - it's a whole lot sunnier and warmer. The coastal brits have been leaving in droves recently.

Yup - I am the holder of a British passport - but I've lived more than 1/2 my life outside the UK.
 

Back cover? Is that what the screw at the end is for?
