Childish i know.

I have a small collection of 1950-1970's tinplate friction toy motorcycles. If anyone has one similar to these and would like to sell it please let me know.. thanks.

Thought I would give this another shot ...just in case any of our newer Members had any they may want to part with.

Know we've got a lot of new Owners since I first posted this .. still on the lookout to add to my collection. So if anyone has got any of these they would like to sell let me know .. thanks fellas.

I hear there's a shop in Devonport that claims to have some.........

Do tell  ... thanks .. think I may have a pirated photo from the very same establishment.

Actually picked up a cheapo Chinese repo tin toy bike from a Salvo shop today. Noticed they had a sausage sizzle set up outside the store. Funds being raised for ' Children's Aid Abroad' or something like that. Thought to myself "they must be expanding their sexual molestation and physical abuse to third world countries" .. bit hot here in Australia nowadays

Me too....

Salvos were always the one organisation I felt actually did some good and made a difference. I've never walked past the old bloke with the collection box in Canberra; same bloke been there in the same spot for all my life as best I can recall. I can't donate any more until the organisation takes full and unequivocal responsibility for what went on. The abuse of children coming to light is truly sickening.

E-Bay items usually too rich for me mate , but thanks.

Richard I agree. Salvos were the only charity I gave money too every time I was asked. Having worked for the organisation in a number of sites these revelations are sickening. Like you said what makes it worse is that they are trying to skirt around admitting responsibility. Those young blokes entrusted to their care must have led lives turned upside down by what they endured.

Everyone should have a collection of something useless. Mine is antique Grundig Majestic radios from the 1950's. They were made in Germany, very elegant to look at.
