Busted by a V Max

an old adage, "Thou shalt not mess with Mr. Max."

A severely underrated machine. Yeah, you can't ride much more than 50 miles on a new one without running out of gas but most drags are not 50 miles.

I got creamed by a Suzuki B-King a while back ... can't win'em all i guess.

I'm on a waiting list to demo ride latest model V-Max .. they offered me a ride so i'll take the opportunity. Salesman told me they retail for $36,000AUD ... they'd want to be good for that sort of money

Took a Vmax for demo ride about eight months ago ,very impressive ,but not that much quicker than the r3. I must admit I did enjoy it

Take that opportunity TC. Usually the only one you get to ride is the one you just bought. Joe is the Canberra Yamaha dealer and he never gets them except for delivery. There's an older one tucked down the back of the workshop covered in dust with a long unpaid account. Obviously not too treasured by its owner.

A friend at work just acquired a 99 VMax and he is not a rider. He has been trying to clean the carbs to get it to run right but says the diaphragms are pretty dry. I told him to bring it to me and let me get it running. I'm not gonna charge him a dime.....just tell him to remember me when he decides to sell it..

Pretty sure i was told Yamaha demands a $2,000 deposit before you can even order yourself a new V-Max ... the deposit is non-returnable they said. Purchase then goes ahead after demo ride ... if you decide you want one. I wouldn't be signing up for that deal

I actually considered buying one of those things a few years back. Very transformer looking kind of a beast.

But, going from a GS BMW to a R3 and then to a B-King would only prove I have absolutely no sense of aesthetics remaining. It may be true but I wasn't quite ready to advertise the fact.

I had to google the b king dont ask why but I dont think there around the states is it like are busa thats what im thinking any way someone correct me if im wrong
