Bridgestone Rear Tire 240 55 16

I bought Prudence 4 months ago with 7100 original miles and wearing some well scuffed in Avons. At the moment I'm leaning toward the Excedra Max when my first tire change comes. Annual mileage and service life of the Exedra will then determine on any 'Darkside' choices thereafter.

Just FYI -
I have run Avon on the rear and front. My current front tire is a 140 Azaro.
Fine tires, but I prefer the Exedra Max rear because it raises the rear axle a half inch which improves handling.
A 140 Avon on the front lowers the front axle a half inch and further improves the handling.

YES it is a big improvement in handling with this tire combo and the big Rocket feels 100lb lighter

Appreciated info being I'm a corner carver by nature. Thanks Bull!

running a BS max 55 on the rear and a metzeler on the bow.....feels comfy too
I just fitted a Bridgestone Exedra Max 240/55 to the rear of my Roadster, replacing the original Metz. It's too early to predict how long it will last.

I'm still running the original Metz on the front, and it's 50-60% worn. Everyone seems to praise the handling with the Bridgestone, but I don't like it as much. I need much more counter-steering to get the bike leaned over on the Bridgestone, compared with the Metz. I wonder if the half-worn Metz front tire is the problem. I plan to fit the 140/75 Commander II up front soon, hopefully the steering will lighten up then.

Can somebody post a picture or a link to the correct tire that I need to purchase? I am getting a little confused here. Everyone keeps saying Excedra Max. But some of the pictures that I have been seeing looks like the G852 Excedra Radial. I just want to make sure that I am ordering the right tire that a lot of people are saying is the hot ticket. I plan to do the 240-55-16 and 140-75-17 Avon combo. Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks

This is what i have on my 2014 Roadster...i have done 6000 kms so far and there is still alot of wear left...should get 10000 i am thinking....go to Revzilla and type in the tyre and size...they have them there. I will say i am very happy with it...it has good stickability ...i wore the chicken strips off the left side going too fast into a left hand corner with cars going the other way on my outside( we drive on the left here)..i stopped breathing for a while i'm sure thinking i was going to come a gutser cos it was way too fast, but the tyre came thru with flying colours thankfully.

Exedra max 86v 240/55 r16

I know exactly what you're talking about. I mistakenly ordered the G852 instead of the other but after installing and riding I didn't notice a difference. I ordered the tire, had it mounted, rode, but noticed later while washing my bike it was the G852. I believe the other tire is a higher speed rating or something. I've got to get to work right now or I would look up the difference. Good question you have....:D

Hello to all, anyone lnow the specific model tire and hows it working? My metz is bald again
I have just replaced the original front and rear Metzelers with Bridgestone Exedra Max. It has altered the handling of the bike quite significantly. I felt more confident throwing the bike into corners. I am not fighting to hold a line like I was with the Metzelers. I haven't gone very far on them yet but they feel much better. Bring on the good weather!

This is what I have been talking about. According to the websites that I am looking at this is the G852 Excedra Radial Tire and not the Excedra Max. So which tire do I want to buy??? Has anyone tried both and can recommend one over the other ???
