Bonneville Speed Trials 2016

Triumph Rocket III Carpenter powered streamliner is not here. They announced on Friday they were postponing until a later run either in Sept. or Oct. The email said they were waiting for better track surface conditions. We were told today by a Rocket owner here trying his hand at this with his Carpenterized bike that he heard the streamliner had an engine failure. BTW so did the Rocket owner here today. I don't have any details.
We heard he set a record at 174 mph with the Rocket and the STREAMLINER did NOT have an engine failure and will be back on the salt SEPT13th

Day 2 of the Bonneville Speed Trials is in the books. Day 1 was just check in, registration and tech inspections. Day 2 was the first day of racing. Our team has 3 bikes here. We have a 1441 ZX14, 904 Thruxton, and a new 1200R Thruxton. Today we ran the ZX14 on 2 runs. 172 and 193 MPH. We were able to video the 172 mph but I haven't figured out how to get the Go Pro video to load. Here are some shots from my camera.

Land Speed Pilots and their Mechanics are Heroes. The Fastest Indian was a great movie. Go to work and make The Fastest Triumph or The Fastest Rocket. It will sell.
