a fine wee mod ive just made that takes all the frustration of fitting the bearclaw for all of us still using it is to replace the rear 6mm bolt with a stud 20 mm long srewed into the bracket with loctite ,now the bear claw slips over the stud (rear bracket) then simply screw the nut on lot easier than trying to align the holes and screw the bolt in at the same time no need for three hands and a stiff neck now

I love simple things that make life easier. Fit my claw on this weekend after repaint and next time it is off I will make use of your mod. Good idea.

"three hands hand a stiff neck" and also a few choice curse words.

The bearclaw replacement is very frustrating and what simple fix this is. Thanks much.

I thought it was just my idiocy that I find reinstalling it such a PIA. Thank you for this excellent solution!

Nice one - so simple and effective.

Edit:

It was you that was thinking about trying to eliminate, or at least reduce, the clutch gear whine wasn't it? Have you made any progress on that?
