measure the battery when the bike is off and disconnected.

also if you have a volt ohm meter measure the current draw between one leg of the battery and the battery cable so that the meter is part of the circuit. do not try to measure current draw without ensuring the battery current has to go through the meter to get to wherever it's going. It doesnt matter which leg you choose wether it's positive terminal or negitive.

current draw should be extremely low.

one note: if you have just shut the bike down or turned the key off the computer will draw some current for some time, usually 5 minutes or less. best thing to do would be to measure in the morning.

on the .com site a member has built himself a battery using LiFepo4 cells. 8 of them for the rocket produces over 1000 cca perhaps you could build one aswell

How many headlamps has the Tiger got? if they are on when starting they will draw enough current to take the edge off an old battery & cause bad starting. That's the problem I had with my R3 Classic, so just fitted EB harness with low beam cut out. Starts a lot easier now.
