Ordered new shocks yesterday, am really really hoping they get here before my trip round the North of Scotland starting next friday.

I went for the slightly longer than stock ones, just short of 13" because I would like a little more ground clearance.

I can't change to standard rearsets because of my injuries so I'll have to get a little clearance while I can because I've only done 2.5k of the 8k miles on her clock and I'm needing new hero blobs (kerb feelers).

Am still thinkin of goin for the Thunderbike zorst 3 - 2 although it only gives an extra 18bhp lol.. like I need it and the thunderbike bars also, with some pretty kuryakin grips and pegs to pretty her up untill I get a respray done end of next year maybe.

Got a m8 who's choping a spare mudguard for me and another who will spray it to match my grey mistress.

will post some pics of the w/end after I get back

The Raask adjustables give you an inch of extra height, and bring your feet back another 10 inches approx. Not so radical as the rearsets, and of course, you can adjust them forward from what I said. Worth a look.

I envy you your trip over the top of Scotland. Did that a few years ago, and loved it. That road up the East coast from Inverness to Wick is a stupendously fast ride, and the one from Wick across the top to the West coast was just unbelievably scenic. Then down the West coast through Ullapool - just brilliant.

You might have noticed that I'm a fan of Scottish roads!

well, 700+ miles covered very sucessfully indeed.

Weather was a bit on the damp side (pissing down),

roads were challenging(wet and single track for a lot of the way)

We did the most northerly point in UK, and the highest pass in uk

and saturday was 9 hours to cover 300 miles in non stop rain

on mostly single track roads that some drunk tarmac layer had

painted over the hills.

But fcuk was it good fun, new shocks were nice, although I never had much opportunity to fiddle with them for settings, company and the banter were fantastic, scenery (that we could see) was exceptional...

all in all despite the weather had a cracking time, lookin forward to the next one.
