Auxiliary Power Socket

That's exactly what I have, except I cut a piece of black gaffer tape to shape to cover the 12v sticker. Completely weather proof and a very handy location within reach of my pocket or saddle bag. Can use a twin USB plug if I need to.

I think I was viewing one of your posts when I actually made the decision to install one. I had the exact same plug on my M109R and it worked perfectly for years.... When i saw the same plug on your bike I knew I had to get another one and get it installed. You inspired me! Thanks man.

Cool! It's a bit hard to see with the black cover, but I like that.

Yep!! I'll probably be covering the outlet the same way, I was wondering if the 12V plug looked cool or not but I guess I dont really want it to stick out that much...

Socket arrived within a few days and fitted in a couple of minutes. Loom connector was a bit diddly to get at but fits perfectly. My solar panel needed a change of plug but I decided not to use the ' croc clip ' lead as that will be useful for other things so cut off the ' cigar lighter ' plug and fit a DIN t instead. Bike now can be kept tickled up without removing the seat. Proof will be when I return home after two weeks away. Hopefully the bike will start without having to charge the battery.

After my prolonged trip away the battery was as strong as you should expect. Engine fired without a hiccup. Also managed to blag an inverter so when time permits I'll buy a leisure battery and a small voltage display meter and rig that up for a charger system. Might even install an LED light in my power less garage so I can see what I'm doing these dark nights. Oh the power of the sun, even here in the UK
