Autotune Unresolved Issue

Useing TuneECU cable and software try going in to the F - L switch tab and change the "pos" line so it reads from left to right 13 13 15 3 3 3 3 3 this should also help sort things to make it smoother.
Also as I have mentioned elsewhere I am trialing a new revised AFR table map which so far feel good, So stay tuned I will post results as soon as I get a chance to do some more km's

Hans,
I already switched the values last weekend and was hoping that was the answer to my problems, but when I checked her yesterday's after a week of driving, there was the same ol' problem. Hince my frustration.

I can't wait until your new tables are made available to us. :).

so far the trims have been a lot more moderate but I have only been doing short runs if I get a chance I will do a couple hundred km in the next day or so:)

Sounds like you need to load an updated firmware from Dynojet. My Rocket was doing something similar to yours and I chased it for a bit, thinking it had something to do with the autotune.

The autotune will adjust your AFR in real time, so it can't be blamed for poor performance once you accept the trims.

I found a post on another site that reminded me of my issue. and that person solved his issue with a firmware update.

I loaded the 5/1/13 version from Dynojet's site and my problem went away!

Good Luck!

As this has turned into an AT thread I will post my results. I am running Hanso's +20 Map in the PCV and I haven't accepted any trims. I put ~ 1500 miles on the bike riding to and around MV last week. The bike ran great with a couple of minor issues:

1.) On start up it didn't want to idle without some throttle until it had been running for a few seconds so starting was a bit troublesome on a hill while trying to hold down the front brake.

2.) Every day, once a day, whether on the flat lands or in the mountains under different load conditions, but constant throttle settings, the bike would start running rough and lose power like it was only firing on two cylinders. This would typically last 15 - 30 seconds, then it would resume its normal smooth running and power would return. It would only happen once a day..or maybe once per tank full of gas?

Type, grade or purchase point of the fuel didn't seem to make any difference as I purchased varying grades, from different vendors in different states on the trip. I haven't had a chance to hook the computer up to it yet, but may get to it tonight.

Just a thought here after reading the saga..A member Rubytoe if I remember correctly contacted Dynojet for help, hooked his laptop up to the PCv-AT and Dynojet teck logged into his laptop and remotely set up the system for him..

I was thinking if there was any updates or faults they would maybe fix it as a product support gesture... maybe worth a phone call :)

I have been doing projects around the house and have not been on line for awhile. Man,,,, you are still fighting this problem? I think it's time to go to a good dyno shop and get some help,,,.

Tex,
I had some of the same issues in the beginning. I found that my bike did not like the Tuneecu tune that Hans sent me along with his PCV AFR table. It would often die at least when cold start idling, but after she warmed up, there was no idle issue. I went to Tuneecu's site and downloaded another map for the Roadster (Jardines, Triples). Since I uploaded this new map, she idles great (except stopping and starting in heavy traffic the idle drops and occasionally kills the engine).

Regarding your loss cylinder problem, I had the exact same issue, and discovered it was a firmware problem with PC. I went to their website and low and behold there was a firmware upgrade which specifically said "fixes drop cylinder issue." Again, after I uploaded the new firmware, no problem.

I hope this helps. I have since uploaded Hans' new AFR table, and the bike is purring (or roaring; depending on my mood).:)
