Stripped her back and went on a ride up to Robertson, Kangaroo Valley, Berry, Gerringong and then Jamberoo Pub for a Schnitty and a beer last weekend (NSW towns for those not famiIiar). I couldnt believe the attention the bike got at all stops along the way. At the Valley (pictured below)

whilst seated across the road from the bike having a coffee, i witnessed people stopping to check it out and most walked around the bike having s good old gawk. One bloke said to me later, is that a 1700cc? I just giggled before blowing him away with '23 hundred mate'.
My smile doesn't just appear when riding the bike. I smile when it grabs attention all by itself.
Love my Rocket.

I ran into a guy at a light yesterday. He was on an all blacked out Fury. When I pulled up along side of him he said, Oh a Triumph huh? I said "YUP" a fury Huh? He said "Yes and I just put new pipes on it" twisted his throttle to let me hear how loud it was. I said nice I like your front wheel, he said "Its a 21 inch pretty cool right?" I said sure and smiled. The light turned green and he ripped it in first gear, I laughed for a second and let the clutch lever go, twisted the throttle about 1/3 and scared the S++t out of that guy. Got to the next stop sign and then, He says "WTF is that thing?" I said its a Triumph Huh! He said "WTF size engine is that?" I said its 140 cubic inches, whats your like 80 cubic inch or something? He gave me the finger and turned left. HA HA HA HA HA (evil laugh)!!!!!! I LOVE MY FU++ING ROCKET!!!!!

Nice pic there @FunkSoulBro . Reckon we all pretty much get a lot of pleasure out of the attention our Rockets get.

But I will NEVER understand why some people seem to think that owning one makes them better than other riders or that it somehow proves anything when a 2300cc bike turns out to be faster than a 1300. Most people see that sort of carry on as over compensating for some shortcomings. In any case, so what if someone loves their bike. Putting them down only makes you look bad. So @Rick Morris , what do you feel you proved?

WOW, Why the butt hurt? I did not put the guy down. He gave me smug remark first when he said "Oh a Triumph huh?" Like his Honda was superior. I never said anything negative at all. I complimented his front wheel. I never said I was a better rider or had a better bike either. I merely blasted past him as he tried to show me how fast he was and pointed out the size difference in his engine displacement. I still have a 80 cubic inch Harley Softail Springer in my garage that I never ride because my over compensation device is so much more fun to ride. If you didnt live in Australia I would say that You and that Fury rider are one in the same. Whats your beef with a Rocket rider telling a great story to another Rocket rider? Did you get stuffed in a locker in high school?

Oh I see, you greased a a Honda Fury!

Don't worry about it; been a lot of this going on lately on here and I seem to be the only one struggling to see the point. There's a difference in my book between feeling good about your bike and feeling better than everyone else because of it. The first 2 posts in this thread illustrated that beautifully.

And no, I never got stuffed in a locker, nor do I have a problem with size of my dick.

My 'classic' model doesn't state 2300cc on it anywhere. I quite like the mystery of that as I see the onlookers who aren't familiar with our bikes are simply gobsmacked by the bulk of the engine and are looking for a badge of some sort.
Then again, the knob who owns my bike gets on and has a Rocket III 2300cc plastered on the back of his jacket. What a tool

I'm happy to have a play with others riding certain brands of bikes that want to throttle blip and give dangerous stares , if that makes me a wanker or tool in the eyes of some I'll swallow that pill as I really don't give a ratsass what they think , I enjoy seeing the occasional look of surprise on throttle blippers face at the next set of lights , how you enjoy your time on your bike is up to you :)

" This is a quote you made on Justin Wall post about Custom Oil embellishers. "I'd like one that says 170 cubic inches, which is 2800cc. - just to really give Harley owners the sh1ts. 183 cubic inches (3000) might be a bit too much of a stretch but even more fun perhaps. Rocket has nothing to prove and it's better to leave them guessing or just plain intimidated." It appears as though you maybe speaking out of both sides of your mouth when you criticize myself and FunksoulBro for telling our stories about how great are Rockets are while we are on a Pro Rocket Forum. And I am not sure why your not on say a Vespa site if you dont want to talk about the greatness in The Triumph Rocket. You dont seem to understand why a group of people that are into modifying, riding and enjoying their Rockets are all about. And I am not sure why you would reference your penis either. Wait! I think I may have an idea! You are 5' nothing and you are sick of looking up at the world and you have nothing better to do but get on some ones case that lives on the other side of the planet, RIGHT? CanberraR3 you also to appear to be a raging D-bag.

Wrecka, Be careful about saying anything that may be construed as boasting, bragging, relishing, over compensating, or basically telling any positive story about dusting any other brand of bike, scooter, 3 wheeler. We may upset someone. By the way I love that name you use. Its exactly the term I use when I crush another bike taht wants to pull a hole shot on me. I Wrecka the Mutha F--ka!
