Are Triumph Rockets reliable?

That’s why I decided to look for something with more power and reliability rather than spending big bucks to upgrade my H-D M8’s to either a Stage 3 or 4. The attached Dyno sheet is for the Stage 1 on my Breakout. As you can see, it’s pretty lame, although the BO sounds and runs great. Too bad the VMax was discontinued in 2020.

My 2022 R3 GT 221 finally arrived after ordering in February. Goodbye Fat Boy, hello Rocket! I was able to ride 100-miles the first day. I’m not supposed to exceed 4k rpm for the first 300-miles but it was still a fantastic and comfortable ride. I’m looking forward to when I finish the 1k break-in period. Too bad premium gas is now $5.00/gal (FJB).

PS The MSRP increased from $24,600.00 USD to $25,000.00. The freight increased from $515.00 to $915.00. Naturally, the stealer couldn’t do anything about it. Let’s go Brandon!

PSS Triumph did increase it’s prices on the website (attached) and no doubt that the freight increased since February. I should apologize to my stealer but I won’t. (FJB)

Curious, why are you running premium? I recall a thread a while back on the new generation rockets being able to run on 87 with no issue.

The rocket may be able to run in 87, but premium makes my baby purr... and drinking so little, why not will be a better question.... now, my truck, 87 and moonshine...

I just assumed that it it required premium like my Harleys. I guess I’ll have to check the owners manual. Maybe I’ll try the mid grade 89 octane (USA) and save a few bucks.

Update: The owners manual shows 95 RON octane which is equivalent to 91 Octane in the USA. I’ll stick with the 91 octane.

The manual is confusing I think it calls for regular grade in another place.?

Speaking of Brandon. Up until recently I put 91 grade I my Rocket and my two previous Rockets. Since premium gas magically jumped up to $6.99 (it dropped 10 cents today) I'm now on board with 87 grade. I just pissed myself off thinking about the price of gas now.
