No surprise that the owners of the top posuer bike find the R3 ugly. The fact that they bought a 9 is enough for their opinion on looks to be invalid for me.
I see the 9 as the cruiser for guys who really want a sport bike but are scared/injured/disabled and dont buy one. It has the same swooping looks like a sportbike.
Remember lots of these guys would probably buy a 1199 over an s1000rr because the s1000 has asymmetrical headlights, the Duc is oh so sexy, and "intake/exhaust/tune it could be just as fast as the s1000rr"... loooooooool.
Found this, thought it was funny:
"The M109R's five-speed tranny is refreshingly cooperative, and that's a good thing. The short-stroke twin is no slouch in the torque department, making 93 lb.-ft. with just 2500 rpm on the LCD bar-graph tach. Below 3000 rpm, a handful of throttle sets off more chugging and shuddering than forward motion in the first three gears. It trolls along obediently turning 3250 rpm into 70 mph, but is happiest between 4000 and the 7500-rpm redline." -

The comment I found most hilarious:
Post #31: "They are ugly, and they aren't much faster...it wouldn't take much work to a 9 to make it just as fast or faster..." lool keep dreaming
Post #61: "Not much revving with it either, Torque monster for sure........" yep, and 6500 safe on a stock motor is not high enough hah.
Would love to see someone put $6,200 into a 9 and put up 240hp+ and run low 9s, high 8s lmfao.... neva gona happen.
Remember folks, bolting on parts does not a custom make.
