I made the factory hole a little bigger and put a dual usb port in mine. the port is the same size as a cigarette socket so it needed the bigger hole. An Optimate socket is what's intended for that hole, but certain powerlets also can be pressed into service there.

I have one of these on my 06 classic with the cigarette lighter in the hole.

Sure as hell makes it easy to lite the smokes while riding.

But for the last six months I've been trying to find out where they hid the ashtray.
