LHS muffler/passenger peg bracket for the uninitiated
 
Triumph had a similar problem on explorer exhaust bracket - that was a poor weld not 100%

This is interesting, but your pix is awful close.
Could you post one showing more of the bike for reckoning a more precise location?
 
I would push Triumph to do something about that. That looks to be failure of the parent metal not the weld - that’s bad in my book

Agreed....you can see how clean the break is, although...that's the side the hit the deck when i went dirt tracking a couple of years ago and I'm wondering if that had something to do with the break.

I wouldn't be at all surprised, the whack could have put that area under stress (not that you would see it, or know it) then after X amount of time you have the result you see here.
 
Looks like a relatively easy repair with a good TIG welder. I might even consider adding a gusset between the two tubes to strengthen it a bit.
