Any special tools required

World of triumph prices ROTOR hold tool 48.75 eu rotor puller 48.75 eu 38mm socket 30 eu 31mmsocket41eu.

Huge help!! I think I'll see what I can borrow/rent and see if I can get € pricing if I view it from a computer rather than the phone.

You can easily make the two castle nut wrenches (17 & 18) from two AF socket spanners .... 1 1/8 inches, and 15/16 inches ... and about twenty minutes with the angle grinder.

Cost probably about twenty Oz bucks.

You don't need the liner puller. Pistons can be removed/replaced (if you are doing that???) with the sump plate off. AND... pulling the liners is a fair MONGREL job.......

You will also need the flywheel removal tools Warp referred to... maybe you can make a holding/antirotation ) tool but you WILL need the puller. Might be listed under "alternator?"

If you get things together and need the cam timing tool I have one I can send. Just let me know!! Like I said you can take the nuts off with a brass drift in fact even if you are using a socket I would give the castle nuts a whack or two before trying to remove. they have been on there quite a while so this makes it easier to remove. Of course once they are loose you have one of each to make the socket to as Ruzzle was talking about. Believe me I did not shock my first one and ended up buying Ian a new one to replace the broken one when I went back together because I did not shock the nuts loose first. :( Oh well live and learn !!!
Below is a picture of Ruzzle's amazing do it yourself special Triumph Tool

I believe the nut and bolt tool next to it is to fit the hex inside the engine mounts. Ruzz can confirm?

Yeah Warp, that works. Bolt hex head needs to be 17 mm across the flats. Swingarm and engine mounts. Instead of welding it, you could just lock two nuts together.....

My castle nuts (and swingarm pivots) were not that tight to remove that they needed drifts... But I soaked 'em first in 50/50 ATF/acetone mix.

The two sockets I mentioned can easily be shaped BEFORE removing the castle nuts... try it and see.... Don't forget - the swingarm and engine mount castle nuts are different sizes and you need the TWO modified sockets.

Thanks fellas! Grinding my own castle sockets should be pretty easy, I'll definitely give that a go.
Scott, I'll definitely take you up on that offer. I'll pm you with the address and to get PayPal info from you.
