I'll be starting the install of the update kit in about two weeks. Just wondering from anyone else whose done their own, are the any "special or specific" tools I'll need for the job? Would rather start tracking them down before ripping the bike apart if I can!
Thanks in advance.

which part of the update kit you plan on installing??

Just looked at the entire parts listing. I imagine I'll change everything but the camshaft parts (and ignition switch since I already did that and added the EB relays).

as bill said..... the outputshaft bearings are in themselves quite a job ,I needed a special socket for the swingarm right side removal

I don't disagree with you at all. But has the crankshaft and timing chain really been much of a problem for these bikes? I don't recall really seeing or hearing of many with problems in that area? It would seem to me that dropping the motor and pulling the trans isn't the same as getting "into" the engine. Of course I haven't looked at the manual tremendously yet, either.
I'm on a work trip right now and planned on starting when I return. If im actually breaking down the engine then I imagine I'll go ahead and include the cam parts.

What kind of socket? Specific to triumph only? If so, I'll take any info you have so I can try and find/order one so it can arrive by time I'm back home.
I have a tire shop and general repair garage at my disposal. A friend is loaning me a closed bay for however long it takes.

With your bike being a 2007, you should install everything in the kit for the engine. You are in there so just do it all. You won't regret it.
