After a great breakfast with mama here in Denver, I packed up some supplies for the RV we store down in Monument (gonna be RVing in mid-July to New Mexico and Texas) and grabbed my Bully-boy Beowulf and headed south. Around 93* today, gorgeous and the roads were crowded with weekend warriors and lots of folk just wanting to strut their incredible toys!
Must have either been a hot rod/bike/trike show somewhere...or there is about to be one. Outrageous custom cars, trucks, bikes and two of the most extreme trikes I've gasped at in years: stretched, air brushed monsters with HUGE blown V-8's. Absolutely off the proverbial chain
Couldn't even guess what these creations might be worth, certainly a fortune in components alone!
Anyway, arriving at SE at long last, my buddy Jay was away with his equally talented brother (makes custom motorcycle suspensions). After a walk out in snake country with my Bully Jay pulls up. Opens his shop, and home to me and I get lots of free bling for my troubles! His bro Mike is gonna craft me some rear gas charged super stiff shocks (lowered one inch to 11") for a fraction of what a major manufacturer would set me back
.........then we checked out his gym (excellent), his killer entertainment center (60" plasma and all the associated accessories) and his gun collection...or should I say his armory!!!!! Looked exactly like a scene from some Rambo or terminator flick where the protagonist opens a door, and then an inner reinforced cage...and reveals about the best private assault rifle, pistol and sniper rifle collection I've ever seen!
No wonder he has such a super security system and huge walls surrounding his estate! Seven AK-47's alone in various custom configurations, likewise AR's and a super sweet .50 cal sniper canon that would have brought down T-Rex with ease. I'm sooooooooooooooo jealous. NOT! He's a great guy, a hard worker and superb craftsman; he has earned these UBER-TOYS!!!! I'm gonna try to get a nice Sig Saur and maybe one of those choice AK's from Mr.Skull one day. Check out his video's on the web site to see that insane 50 cal. in action, along with pretty girls and other lethal toys (and yes, the GIRLS are lethal toys as well).
The ride home was beautiful, if a bit too warm for my Bully Beowulf...still in the upper 80's as I type this rubbish. All told a spectacular day, even though I didn't touch my bikes!
