An even bigger motor !

Carpenter's pipes include heat shields now, the pipe position is better than the Jardines, no longer melts my boot.

Mate of mine did a similar thing with his Softail took it out and give it a handfull and broke the drive belt.

Funny, when hardley first came out with their belt drive, I was still a wild child, and playing music at a red neck bar, that included all ethnic groups. "Last Chance Saloon", or "Bucket of blood" as we called it. I figured it would be too easy for some ass hat that didn't like you, to cut your belt while you were inside, and there you'd be, stranded. And those belts ain't cheap either! It just blew my mind at the time. BIG BAD HARDLEY, and a fan belt driving the wheel? ha ha ha

Mates bike was a newish Nightrain (is that what they call them?) with the new narrow belt. I couldn't think of a bad thing to say about the belt on the EVO Softail I had for 20 years. Never had to look at it or do anything to it. A true maintenance free drive system. If you leave all the stone guards on and leave your motor fairly standard they are a good thing.

Just sayin'
I on my big fast 1000 LTD Kaw thought it was a cool idea, no grease, clean, less adjustment - BUT - only on a 40 horse HD would it hold up.
Belt tech has really improved but the really biguns still use chain. Kaw claimed that one strand of wire from the belt on my V2K would support the weight of the whole bike. Will say my belt is WAY wider and thicker than one for a HD. After 20K miles, I still don't like my R3R shaft; but, prefer it to f*cking with a chain again.

Listen to the man! The Carpenter kit is well worth the money and more! Even with an air cleaner left in place and Jars vs the Brute pipe, I have 208 HP.
A blast! Do it!
