AMA Petition:
Please take a minute and look at this petition from the AMA: To oppose tariffs on EU motorcycles, parts, and accessories... The Office of United States Trade Representative, as part of a dispute over aircraft subsidies, has proposed 100 percent tariffs on motorcycles imported from countries in the European Union ...see 8711.40.30 for Motorcycles and 8714.10.00 for Parts & accessories.

So why a 500 to 700cc tariff? Harley, Indian, and every custom builder in the US uses a 1500cc or bigger engine. The tariff won't help them AT ALL. I don't get it. The only Triumph it would affect is the 675 (the 765 is outside tariff range). Seems like everyone except the scooter guys is going to be pretty much unaffected. Please enlighten me.

It's targeted, as is all US economic policy. Chase down the affected companies, and recent business/politics and it'll be immediately clear.

I dont care enough in this case to do so, but once you find the gem, it'll be an aha moment.

I will sign because in general F-tarrifs.

A perfect example of why I SMH.

No Way!
If I went totally bonkers and bought a motor for 30 minute rides before I needed traction, it would be a B-King.

Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak edition... no traction needed and current heavyweight record holder up the hill. Side note... they have cancelled motorcycles going up for 2020 and beyond. Until they lose a ton of sponsorship money and participation. I'll not be going as a spectator until they bring bikes back
