For a year after I hit a deer in one of my cars I rode slower on motorcycles. Could just imagine one coming out of the woods.
In some ways, riding a bike makes me drive everything more carefully. Even in a car, I don't just shoot into an intersection just because the light is green. I look for somebody that might be planning to run the light from the other directions before I pull out.

Oh my goodness gentlemen. I am astounded to the suggested speed you travel at even momentarily. I recall travelling through an extremely high speed road one day which was sign posted at 110kph. Although i accelerated to 108kph I think my comfort zone really was between 100-102kph. I guess it is all im used to. I bought my motorcycle for aesthetic reasons only. I find my wifes fuel injected Vespa is more than adequate for me but i just feel more comfortable on something more stable like my Rocket.

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to throw a bull$hit flag on that one and penalize you 3 days riding for trying to appear more conservative than the average lunatic that rides a rocket ;)

I guess I am the sick one in the bunch here...

I have never rode a M/C that was too fast or a gun I did not like...

I am 67 yrs old...I rode a 2001 busa about 3 yrs ago and hit 205 MPH...on a country 2 lane road. I have had moments of fear...but never afraid of going fast. Last year...I hit a hump on where a bridge started over a river at about 115 mph on the Rocket.....It kicked the back wheel into the air and I rode on the front wheel nearly all the way across that bridge...about 300 ft.........A moment of fear...lasted about 30 seconds and I was back on it again...It did hurt my back and nearly knocked my breath away..

The only thing I really fear on a M/C is deer.....I hate them dang things.. I have no fear when riding I-40 when all the cages are running 80+ mph driving like fools.....But just at dark on a back country road I am running 45-50 mph and I am 100% afraid.....Plus thank the good LORD when I make it home.

I have killed 13 deer with auto's....Maybe that is why..
