ABS saved my bacon

I love the ABS on my R3R just pull on the lever and stand on the pedal stops quicker than any bike I ever owned. Last time I travelled Mt Lindsay I was using it coming into most of the corners.

I don't know about that bud. When I had to avoid a crash at 70MPH one time on my 07 Street Glide, the rear end started to fish tail when the rear wheel locked up. Luckily I had the sense to get back off of the rear or I think it might have gotten ugly.

exactly my point it is impossible to modulate the rear brake pressure when confronted with an emergency stop one can squeeze the front brake lever as hard as possible the result being a major dive from the compressed fork in front but the wheel keeps rolling keeping the bike upright and controllable as it is nearly impossible to lock the front wheel on regular asphalt ,
the rear brake on the other hand will lock up very quickly the rear wheel will fishtail scaring the rider but will not help in reducing the stopping distance it has been shown and tried time and times ..
ABS in the rear brake at least will release the wheel from lockup instantly and keep the rider from soiling his skivvies
