Out of the bike, these engines are really strange looking. The bottom end seems overly large. For strength maybe ?

#64467 in my list of memorised useless trivia is this gem:

The R3 crank weighs 17.5 kgs (39ish lbs) and the swarf from the milling process weighs 4.5 kgs - the crank from the 675 motor only weighs 5.3 kgs

...I know...but i still get sex with a lady so I'm ok with this bit of trainspotting :roll:
