Optical illusion actually it has been proven over and over again that Red is actually faster, the actual problem lies in the fact that only the select fast bikes are painted red and other colors and the left over or second rate bikes get the bannished black paint work so that will bought by the egotistical black is better crowd cos it makes them look tought

I'm really interested in doing most of this as well... have any suggestions as to the order of doing it as I can't afford to do it all at once?
Also, I have looked around for the Trip K&Ns, but the pictures I see don't look like they will fit, so do you have a link to the ones you ordered, or maybe a part number I can hunt for to ensure I get the right ones?
Maybe with some work, and with some Hanso custom tunes, I might have a beast like yours as well.

The filter kit you can get from Flipmeisters Specialty Products
save up for the TORS and cat bypass you can change the tune for free by using TuneECU and a map from someone with the same setup.

Sams,
It is truly a very worthwhile improvement. Since the K&N filters, TORs pipes, Power Commander 5 and Auto Tune all work together I thought it much simpler to do it all at the same time. All the items cost about one large. I suppose you could save about $485 by not getting the PCV +AT and running with a Tune ECU map like Nolton suggested; but, I (with limited smarts) would run this by Wizard of OZ first.
You have a Rocket; so, the cats are in your mufflers and disappear with installation of the TORs. I removed and inspected the collector and it is absolutely open and clear inside. IMHO - the Staintune crossover pipe is real spendy for what you get. I believe the difference in exhaust flow caused by the collector to be miniscule; so, I decided to just keep it.
Best Regards,

I looked at Flipmeisters and then did a little hunting to save a few bucks. Ebay was more expensive than anywhere else, but Amazon was about as cheap as I could find, especially considering the Prime two-day free shipping and no taxes. In case anyone is interested, here's the items I purchased on Amazon:
