Well, I've been breaking in my new Rocket; this is the third tank of gas I've gone through. I'm getting 34mpg at the moment. Does this sound about right for break in? So far I've amassed 400 miles on the odometer.

Kindest regards,

-Will

I averaged 38 mpg with my TORs/Cat Delete and underseat K&N, but no TuneBoy or windshield, when I rode it back from Ohio. Almost 2200 miles, mostly at about 90-100, more or less. Since Jars, Triple K&Ns. Roadster shield and TuneBoy I average about 32.

No telling how many mpg I'll get I'll once my chrome-on-chrome, short cone, short muffler Preds are installed   Not to rub it in or anything.

I usually run low thirtys but then again I ride it like I stole it

Everybody is lying about their mileage. They don't know and don't care about miles/gallon...it's the number of smiles/mile that count.

Tuneboy affects actual miles, so some of these numbers as skewed. I'm constantly in the 30-33 MPG. I have 24,000 miles on the clock.

I got 38 MPG going to Las Vegas one time, and I had the bike loaded and maintained a pretty stiff, but steady pace. On the other end of the spectrum, going to bike night and running around town, and the dealership, I used a full 5 gal for an even 100 miles. Twice. That's 20 MPG, and it was GREAT fun!  8)

from what i remember when i had mine that would be close but of coarse my normal riding speed when im by myself is 80-90 mph

Hold on, I used Tune boy to correct my Speedo, so now the odometer is off??? How much??

34 MPH sounds right for new bike. When you get a couple of 1000 miles on you will be able to turn the throttle slower and get slightly better milage. But urge never completly goes away and give correct set of circumstances you will get less than 30mpg on a tank.
