33 Degrees ... I can't take it anymore ... I'm going riding...

Its around 2c or 36f here in the North West UK with rain & snow showers!. :(
You are right there Mick, I've been looking at going out today but every time I look out of the window it's black sky & passing down, God knows when I'll get out-not looking like this weekend. Let's not forget that those Ozis are in their summer right now, probably the same in winter though, darn it.

I'd take it when and where I can this time of year.

Unless a substantial rain washes away the salt, sand and urea residues previously layed down on our roads for snow and ice conditions, unfortunately, warmer temps alone will not see me out riding.

Interesting that we in WA are at 47.5°N and you in NJ are just 40°N, yet your winters are much worse.
I'll take the clouds and rain any day!
Those crowing Aussies are in summer now, not winter like us.

Winter (our) one is my preferred riding time 15 C and crystal clear mornings and warming up to 22 c , a few rainy days here and there ,never snows here on the coast, 6C is the coldest I have ever seen here, :)

Why is it, on any Triumph forum I've been on, that the Aussies always make fun of the North American riders? You guys need to have a little heart. Most of us over here are severely depressed.....we've been in the dark for months......are mimicking motorcycle noises at work.......trying to activate the clutch in our cars with our left hand......are ready to do something stupid......and are thinking of moving down under. Even willing to learn how to drive on the wrong side of the road. We are loosing it.

WE HAVE BEEN NEGLECTED BY THE WEATHER FOR TOO LONG! WE WON'T TAKE IT ANY MORE! SOMEONE TURN ON THE HEAT!

The older I get, the less I like Winter. There is much to be said for the temperate Mediterranean climate where you live, Steve. For the U.S. that would be pretty close to my ideal. I lived in a much warmer Mediterranean climate in Chico, CA. years ago and the summers there could be brutal. The silver lining there was that a 15 minute drive put you up about 3,000 feet of elevation into the Sierra Nevada Mtns and another 15-20 minutes along put you at 5,000+ feet up to and over the tree line.
